Sanctuary Rabbits -- Our sanctuary rabbits need your support.
When you adopt a sanctuary rabbit or a pair of them, they will become yours, but HRS will continue to provide for their medical care throughout their lives. If you are unable to take in a sanctuary rabbit, please consider making a donation toward the considerable expenses of these special rabbits.

The Big Babies as we affectionately call them started out as a mother with 11 babies!!! Now we are down to the 4 big babies.....Blake, Jasmine and Jackson and of course Bob Big Boy who is separate from the group now. The rest have been adopted!! They are all grown now and waiting for a permanent home either as a friend for another rabbit or with one of their siblings. Since they are used to living in a group their rabbit social skills are highly developed so they would make some lucky rabbit a good companion.

Scarlet and Sammy Poor Scarlet was dropped off at the shelter as a pregnant 9 month old bun and gave birth to 2 little boys there. One of her sons was adopted, but she and her remaining son are quite the attached pair. Scarlet is not quite 2 and her son is almost 1. They love to groom each other and run around the pen, but will sit still for scratches. Scarlet loves to play with her jingle balls, and both of them love to toss toys up in the air. They have great litterbox habits.

Robyn is a handsome fellow who charms his way into many people's hearts with a glance at his blue eyes and adorable coloring. Because he's such a dashing gentlemen, his good behavior allows his incredible curiosity to flourish with frequent hops outside his cage around the home. Though he doesn't want to be held, a good lap to sit in and be pet allows him to shine- and you to get plenty of bunny kisses. Robyn is trying to learn what it means to go in a litterbox, but he never ever goes outside his cage while on romps.

Roary *** ADOPTION PENDING***is one of the most beautiful rabbits you will ever see. He is snow white in color with pale blue eyes. He was left on someone's doorstep in Carroll County and then taken to the shelter by animal control. If you like the look of a long haired rabbit but not the high maintenance a lion head is for you. They do require brushing but not nearly as much as an angora.

Mopsey is a big, black mini-lop girl with a big personality to match.  She has had a hard time finding a home because she doesn't play well with other rabbits and she can be a bit grumpy.  Although she has her outer defensive side, underneath it all she is a big softy who melts when being petted.  She is just waiting for the right rabbit person to help her take down her wall.  Who knows, she may even meet mister bunny right someday.  You never know when the right bun will steal her heart.
